A fragrant and healthy food mixture with herbs and flowers for pink cockatoos. Pink Cockatoos are food specialists and therefore make special demands on their diet. Also, pink cockatoos tend to become overweight and food selective quickly. Our versatile and small-grained feed mix is therefore ideally suited to provide pink cockatoos with all important nutrients. The feed is composed of 36% meal-containing seeds, 31.5% oil-containing seeds, 22% grass seeds, 5.5% flowers and 5% herbs.
Grass seeds are part of the natural diet of pink cockatoos in the wild and are therefore present in large quantities in this mix. The mix included here is composed of various fescue grasses, but also Delicha and Pagima Green. Delicha are untreated grass seeds. This robust grass seed species originates from Uganda. Their coarse structure makes the grass seeds interesting and must be worked out by the birds. Delicha is rich in vitamins and fiber, as well as easily digestible. Pagima Green, on the other hand, is a particularly fine grass seed. The small grass seeds provide long occupation. Because of the low energy content, grass seeds are particularly suitable for pink cockatoos, which tend to become fatty quickly.
Herbs and flowers are also on the menu of wild rosy cockatoos. Therefore, they are also abundantly represented in this mixture. Eucalyptus in particular is of great importance to the birds: pink cockatoos breed in the eucalyptus tree in Australia. Eucalyptus leaves are bactericidal and therefore have a health-promoting effect.
